About Us.

Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities Climate Leadership Plan Steering Committee
We face an urgent moment in the struggle to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Motivated by this context, three Vancouver Island Mayors have convened an ad-hoc group (Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities Climate Leadership Plan Steering Committee, VICC-CLP Steering Committee for short) which includes representatives from each of the regional districts on the island and Sunshine Coast, and researchers from the University of Victoria. Together we aim to produce a plan that will catalyze climate mitigation and adaptation throughout the region.
